Your Nabaztag can receive messages from your friends, whether they have a Nabaztag or not.

One of your friends has a Nabaztag: why not make them happy?  Send them a message, directly to their home or office, through their Nabaztag!

Nabaztag can receive various types of messages:

• Luminous messages
• Pre-recorded messages using Nabaztag's voice
• Messages in MIDI format
• Any type of MP3 file
• Text-to-speech messages

To send anything but a text-to-speech message, you first need to open an account on my.nabaztag.com. This will allow you to control your Nabaztag and let you know who's sending messages.

Anyone can send a text-to-speech simply by sending an e-mail to [Nabname]@nabaztag.com. Nabaztag will then read the content of the subject line of this e-mail.
 

You can receive messages from absolutely anyone with an account, they just have to know your Nabname. You can even be found in our directory. This is why we offer the blacklist. It is a list of certain people that you no longer wish to receive messages from. If you wish to block any users from sending you messages, have no fear, a solution is right at your fingertips.

1. Little Words
Little words are pre-recorded Nabaztag messages: sweet notes, useful notes, or anything in between.

2. Music
We provide you with a large library of MIDI-format music files, sorted into musical genres.

3. Personal music messages
These are your own MP3 clips, which you can upload to our site and send to your friends.

4. "I can read" messages
With "I can read", you can make a Nabaztag read out loud, and have fun with the set of different voices we offer.

5. Nabshare messages
These are messages that other users choose to share, and that you can use to send to your own friends.

6. Nabcast messages
These are "Nabaztag only" Podcasts that other users broadcast. To receive them, you just need to subscribe.

Nabshare is a base of messages shared by all Nabaztag users. Users who create their own MP3s can choose to share them with everyone else.

Nabcasts are a selection of programs offered by other Nabaztag users.
These programs are classified under various categories.

Nabcast is a service that lets you broadcast content that you would like to share with other Nabaztag users. Once you upload your content, it is broadcast to all users who subscribe to your Nabcast.  This means that you can share your favorite music or your own audio creations with other Nabaztags.

The choice of Nabcasts will evolve, depending on Nabcasters' imaginations: you too can create your own program!

1. Sending scheduled messages
You can send messages whenever you like and have them delivered later, at the date and time you specify.
It appears in your list of sent messages at the delivery date and time you choose.
Be careful! A delayed message can't be cancelled: it'll be sent as specified, even if you change your mind.

2. Sending a message via e-mail
In order to send a message via e-mail, you need to have a Nabaztag account.
Your messages must be sent from the e-mail address you stated when you set up your Nabaztag account.
Using e-mail means you can send MP3s as attachments or have your e-mail's subject line spoken by your friend's Nabaztag.

3. Sending your own MP3 messages
You can upload as many MP3 messages as you like.  They will be stored on your page for an unlimited period of time.
In the future, though, we may need to set a limit on your storage space.
You can preview your MP3s, but the preview may be accelerated. It is best to record your MP3s with a 44100 Hz sampling rate.
Your files can be deleted from your My MP3 page at any time.

Note: You can also send MP3 files via e-mail, by simply attaching the file to your e-mail. It will then be played by the Nabaztag. When played on the Nabaztag, your file will be reduced to 45 seconds.

You can receive messages from any person who knows your username. However, you can always change your mind about that. If you choose to put certain people on the blacklist, you will no longer receive messages from them.

Please note that people who want to send you messages via e-mail need to have a Nabaztag account (even if they don't have a rabbit) and send the e-mail to your rabbit from the adress they used when registering. We are doing this to prevent rabbits from spam.

If you'd like your Nabaztag to keep quiet for a while, you can always put him on mute by moving the volume switch all the way to the left. If you have a Nabaztag/tag, the volume dial may be turned all the way down.

You can, of course, use our website, but you can also send messages via e-mail.

2. How can I find a Nabaztag's username?
Your friends will find you!  Once they give you the username, you're set.  Otherwise, you can browse our directory to find other Nabaztags.

3. Can I send my own MIDI files?
No, because we use a specific MIDI format, but you can always convert your MIDI files to MP3.

4. Can I record my own messages?
Yes, you can record your own messages by recording your voice in MP3 format.

5. Can I send a single message to multiple recipients?
Yes you cand o so via e-mail. Simply list the recipients' e-mail adresses in the To: field and send your message. The Nabaztag of your friends will read the subject line or, if you attached a MP3 file, will play the sound.
